Assistant

The Assistant (/dashboard/assistant) is an AI helper that knows your business. Ask it questions in plain language, such as “Why can’t PPPoE customer John Doe get online?” or “Who are our top 10 paying hotspot customers this month?”, and it looks up your customers, payments, sessions and routers to answer.

It can also propose changes, such as reconnecting a customer, but it never changes anything by itself. A person with the right role reviews each proposal and applies it.

The Assistant is in the side menu, at the bottom. It’s available to owners and admins.

The first time you open the Assistant, you’re asked to agree to its terms. In short:

  • It only reads your business’s data, and only what your role allows. Teammates see only what their roles allow, and other businesses never see yours.
  • Your questions and the data used to answer them go to ISPMan’s AI provider through a business service that doesn’t use them to train AI models. ISPMan doesn’t train on them either, and never sells or shares your data.
  • Router passwords, API and VPN keys and RADIUS secrets are never sent to the AI.
  • Every change it suggests is a proposal that a person applies, and applied changes are recorded in the audit log.
  • AI can make mistakes. Check important figures and every proposed change before acting.

Click Agree and continue.

  1. Type in the message box, for example “PPPoE customer 0712 345 678 can’t connect”.
  2. Optionally attach up to 3 files with the paperclip (Attach a screenshot, photo or PDF): PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF, CSV or Excel (.xlsx), up to 10 MB each. A screenshot of an error or a price list works well.
  3. Press Send.

The answer streams in. Where it helps, the assistant offers buttons you can tap to reply, and every answer carries an “AI-generated” note as a reminder to check what matters.

The start screen suggests questions under these headings:

Topic Examples
Troubleshoot a customer (by name, phone, account number, PPPoE username or MAC) “Why can’t PPPoE customer … get online?”, “Hotspot customer with phone … paid but has no internet”, “Troubleshoot the device with MAC address …”
Support tickets & payments “Go through our open support tickets and investigate the oldest”, “Show unmatched payments and who they most likely belong to”, “Customer … says they paid but are not connected”
Routers (read live, using a read-only login) “Which of our routers are offline right now?”, “How many PPPoE sessions are active on each online router?”, “Show the last 20 log lines from router …”
Usage & customers “How many users are active on each router and each package?”, “Who are our busiest customers this week, by sessions and by payments?”, “Which routers had the most outages in the last 30 days?”

Members with report access also get quick report buttons: Quick report, Detailed weekly report, Last month’s report, Today vs yesterday and Today vs … days ago.

When the fix is a change, the assistant shows it as a card with what it will do. Depending on your role, it can propose things like connecting or extending a customer, deactivating, reactivating or resetting one, clearing a router MAC, sending an SMS, sending a payment prompt, matching a payment to a customer, acknowledging or resolving a support ticket, fixing a package’s validity, or importing packages from a file you attached.

Read the card, then click Apply or Dismiss. When you apply, ISPMan checks your role again and makes the change as you. If you don’t have the right role, you can’t apply it.

Your conversations are listed under Chats. Use Search chats to find an old one, and switch between Team chats and My chats. Chats are shared across your team, but a teammate whose role can’t see the data in a chat sees “This chat thread is restricted due to your access level.” Delete a chat with Delete thread.

After some answers you may be asked “Was this helpful?” Your rating helps improve the assistant and isn’t sent to the AI.

Assistant use is measured in AI tokens. Your plan includes a monthly allowance shared by your whole team, shown in the credits meter on the Assistant page. Extra use is billed as Agent credits on your ISPMan invoice, up to a monthly cap.

When the cap is reached, the message box says “This month’s assistant limit is reached. It resets with your next billing period.”

Owners and admins can choose the AI model on the Agent credits page. Every model reads the same customers, routers and logs; cheaper models use fewer tokens per question. See Billing.

A newsletter is a report the assistant writes for you on a schedule and emails to your team. Open it from the Newsletters (scheduled reports) button in the chat list, or go to /dashboard/assistant/newsletters.

  1. Click New newsletter. You can Start from a template.
  2. Under What should the agent report on?, describe what you want, for example “Summarise revenue, new customers, outages and router health for the period.”
  3. Choose How often: Daily, Weekly (pick the day under On) or Monthly (pick a day from 1 to 28 under On day).
  4. Choose the hour under At, in your business’s time zone.
  5. Under Email it to, tick the team members who should get it. Only members of your team can receive it.
  6. Click Save.

Each newsletter shows whether it’s Active or Paused, the Next issue, the Last run and the Last result, and its Recent issues. You can Send now, Edit, Pause or Resume, and Delete it (its chat thread is kept).

Each run happens in its own chat thread and uses agent credits. The report only includes data its author’s role can see.
