Buyer wallet and Pay later

Marketplace → Buyer wallet (/dashboard/marketplace/wallet) is your personal wallet for the Marketplace. Every Marketplace payment goes through it, and refunds land here too. It belongs to you (your login), not to the business, so it is separate from your business’s collection wallet under Payments.

The wallet shows three figures:

Figure Meaning
Spendable on Soko Everything you can spend on the Marketplace.
Available Money that came in by M-Pesa. This is the only part you can withdraw.
Card balance Money topped up by card. Spendable on the Marketplace, but not withdrawable.

Under Top up, enter the amount and your M-Pesa phone (or pay by card), then click Top up. The page waits for the payment and updates by itself. Card top-ups go to your card balance.

Under Withdraw to M-Pesa, enter an amount (only the Available balance can be withdrawn) and your M-Pesa phone, then click Withdraw.

History lists every top-up, payment, refund and withdrawal.

Pay later lets your business buy now and repay in instalments, taken from a share of the collections that come through ISPMan. It appears as a payment option at checkout for eligible businesses and items. Go to Marketplace → Pay later (/dashboard/marketplace/pay-later) to see:

  • Your available limit, band and Score, and what is Outstanding.
  • What improves your limit: what you can do to raise it.
  • Agreements and instalments: each Pay later purchase with its instalment schedule (due, paid, late fees and status). Click Pay early on an instalment to pay it now by M-Pesa.
  • Download statement for a PDF of your agreements.

At payment, choose Pay later. Pick a repayment term from the cards shown, each with its fee and total cost of credit, and adjust the repayment share to see how many days it takes to clear. The business owner must sign the credit agreement with a one-time code; other team members see “Only the business owner can sign the Pay later agreement.”
