Received payments

Payments → Received (/dashboard/payments/received) lists every payment ISPMan has recorded for your business: M-Pesa and other provider payments, plus cash and cheque payments recorded by your team. Use it to confirm a customer’s payment, look up an M-Pesa reference, or investigate a payment that did not connect anyone.

Click Refresh at the top to load the latest payments. Columns you can filter and sort are marked in the table header.

Column What it shows
Service Hotspot, PPPoE, Static, or another service the payment was for.
Account The customer wallet the money went to (for example their account number). Click it to open the customer.
Reference The provider’s transaction ID, such as the M-Pesa code.
Provider Where the money came in: your M-Pesa Paybill (with shortcode), a Bank Paybill (with bank and account), another provider you connected, Cash, Cheque, or ISPMan with the channel when ISPMan collected it.
Customer The customer’s name and phone, where known.
Router The router the customer was connected through.
Transacted At When the payment was made.
Amount The amount and currency.

Click any row to open the payment (/dashboard/payments/received/<id>). The page shows:

  • The header: reference, amount, provider and when it was transacted.
  • Incoming Reference: Reference, Sender Account (the payer, linked to the customer if ISPMan recognises them), Payment Provider, Service, ISP Payment Provider, Gateway and Channel.
  • Wallets: the Source and Destination wallets the money moved between, linked to the customer where possible.
  • Transaction: Description, Debit Amount, Credit Amount, From Wallet, To Wallet and Transacted At for the ledger entry this payment created.
  • Balance Snapshots: the wallet balances recorded at the time of the payment, useful when you are checking a customer’s balance history.

Click Back to Received Payments to return to the list.

Sometimes a payment arrives without a destination wallet, for example when a customer pays with a wrong or mistyped account number. The payment detail page then says No destination wallet assigned.

The Owner, an Admin or an Operator can fix this:

  1. Open the payment and click Assign Wallet.
  2. In Assign Customer Wallet, search by name, username, phone or account number.
  3. Click Select next to the right customer.

You see “Destination wallet assigned successfully.” and the payment now shows the customer’s wallet as its destination. The button only appears while the payment has no wallet, so a payment cannot be reassigned once it has one.

A customer says they paid but are not connected. Search for their M-Pesa reference here. If the payment is listed and has a wallet, check the customer’s wallet balance under Wallets → Loaded and their package status. If it has no wallet, assign it as above. If the payment is not listed at all, the confirmation has not reached ISPMan yet; check that your provider is enabled and its callback URLs are registered (see Payment settings).

Why does the Provider column say ISPMan? The payment came in through ISPMan’s collection account, not a provider you connected. Your share goes to your collection wallet. See Wallets.
