Sales & promos overview

The Sales & Promos menu gathers the tools that help you sell more internet and keep customers coming back. Most of them work through your hotspot captive portal, the page customers see before they get online.

Menu item What it does Page
Campaigns Generate batches of discount promo codes for a hotspot or PPPoE package, and feature one on the captive portal. Promo code campaigns
Vouchers Prepaid access codes customers redeem on the portal. Documented in Hotspot
Loyalty Points Reward hotspot customers with points for paying, visiting and referring friends; they redeem points for free time or data. Loyalty points
Advertising Upload images and videos and schedule them as ads on your captive portal. Captive portal ads
Ad plans / Placed ads Sell ad space on your portal to local businesses, then approve the adverts they buy. Selling ad space

Quiz results, Picture questions, Quiz questions Let customers answer a short quiz to get online, and see what they answered. Quizzes

Which tool should I use?

  • To fill quiet hours or launch a new package: a promo code campaign with a discount, featured on the portal for a limited time.
  • To reward regulars and reduce churn: loyalty points. Customers see their balance on the portal and can swap points for free internet.
  • To earn extra income from your WiFi traffic: ad plans for local shops, and platform ads.
  • To run sponsored or community WiFi (a church, campaign or health programme): quizzes, where answering questions earns connect time.
  • To sell prepaid cards through shops and agents: vouchers.

Who can use these pages

The Owner and team members with marketing roles can open Sales & Promos. The advertising and quiz pages are also open to advertising roles. Read-only roles can view but not change things.
