Vouchers

A voucher is a one-time code that gives a customer a hotspot package without paying on the portal. Vouchers are useful for selling scratch cards through shops or agents, for giving out free time at events, and for sorting out a complaint.

Vouchers live under Sales & Promos → Vouchers (/dashboard/vouchers), which is open to the owner and to marketing roles.

At the top of the Vouchers page, switch on Enable in Captive. The portal then shows a Use Voucher option, where the customer enters the code and taps connect.

  • The voucher option only appears while Enable in Captive is on.
  • A customer can use a voucher assigned to them, or any active voucher that isn’t assigned to anyone.
  • A voucher can’t be used once it has expired or been used. Each code works once.
  1. On Vouchers, click Bulk Add. The Create Bulk Vouchers window opens.
  2. Enter the Number of Vouchers (1 to 5,000).
  3. Select Package: what each voucher gives.
  4. Set the Voucher Expiry Date: the last day the code can be redeemed.
  5. Optionally pick a Router Device. You can later filter, export and print vouchers by device.
  6. Click Create Vouchers and wait while they are generated. If some fail, you’ll see how many were created and how many failed.

These vouchers aren’t assigned to a customer, so anyone with the code can redeem it.

Click Add (/dashboard/vouchers/create). Choose the customer with Select Customer, pick the package (Select Package), set the Voucher Expiry Date, and leave Send to SMS on to text the code to the customer. Then click Submit. You can also do this from the customer’s page with Create Voucher. See Hotspot customers.

  • Bulk CSV Phones: paste or upload a CSV with package_id and phone_number columns. A voucher is created for each row and sent to that phone by SMS. The window lists your packages and their IDs.
  • Import Vouchers: bring in codes you already have (for example, cards printed elsewhere). Select the package, then paste or upload up to 3 CSV files with code and expiry_date (YYYY-MM-DD) columns. Codes must be unique, so a duplicate code makes that row fail.
  1. Filter the voucher table if you want to print only some vouchers.
  2. Click PDF. The Print vouchers as PDF window opens.
  3. Choose a Design: Classic Grid (large, easy-to-read cards) or Compact (small cards with dashed cut lines, for bulk printing).
  4. Set Vouchers per page, Vouchers to print (Current filtered results, Only available (unused, unexpired) or All vouchers), Paper size (A4 or Letter), and optionally a Package and Device.
  5. Under Print on each card, choose what to show: Business logo, Business name, Package name, Price, Validity / duration, Expiry date, Speed and How to connect.
  6. Download the PDF and print it.

To export as a spreadsheet instead, click Excel or CSV. A Download Preview shows how many vouchers will be included and lets you filter by Status (All / Unused / Used), Package and Device before you download.

Columns: Code, Service, Customer, Package, Device, Created At, Expires At, Used At, Used By and Actions. An expired code is shown in red, and a used code in your brand colour. From Actions you can remove a voucher’s customer assignment.

Charts above the table show vouchers by status, and how many were activated for each package and each device.

  1. Click Bulk delete (/dashboard/vouchers/bulk-delete).
  2. Choose Delete by:
    • Created at: vouchers created in a date range (either end can be left open).
    • Status: Not given to any customer, Given to a customer, not activated, or Every voucher not activated.
    • Expired: vouchers past their expiry date. Set Expired before or leave it blank for everything that has expired.
    • Package: vouchers for one hotspot package.
  3. Click Load vouchers to see exactly which vouchers will be deleted.
  4. Click Delete … and confirm.
